Welcome back—this lesson explains why the CNPA (Certified Cloud Native Platform Engineering Associate) certification matters and how it can advance both your career and your organization. Platform engineering is the natural evolution of DevOps. Since the term gained traction around 2018, demand for platform engineers has risen quickly, especially in organizations scaling beyond startup size. Whether called an internal developer platform (IDP), an engineered platform, or an API-driven self-service platform, organizations that build effective platforms see improved developer productivity, reduced friction, and faster, more predictable delivery.
