EFK Stack: Enterprise-Grade Logging and Monitoring

Introduction

Course Introduction

Hello and welcome to this Kubernetes course on Elasticsearch, Fluent Bit, and Kibana. My name is Raghunandana Sanur, and I will be your instructor throughout this lesson.

Large organizations such as Netflix, Amazon, and Airbnb leverage the microservices architecture. This approach results in hundreds of applications generating thousands or even millions of log lines. Analyzing these logs in one centralized location is vital for effective monitoring and troubleshooting. Elasticsearch is at the heart of this process, providing robust capabilities for indexing, searching, and managing log data.

In this lesson, we will cover:

  • The fundamentals of Elasticsearch, including indexing, mappings, and document management.
  • How Kibana can be used to create dynamic visualizations from log data.
  • The role of Fluent Bit as a lightweight log shipper that seamlessly integrates with Elasticsearch and Kibana.

Hands-On Learning

This is a completely hands-on course. KodeKloud provides just-in-time infrastructure access through browser-based labs and playgrounds, enabling you to practice each step of the process in real time.

Community Engagement

Community is a cornerstone of learning. We highly recommend joining the KodeKloud community to connect with fellow DevOps enthusiasts, ask questions, and share insights:

I’m excited for you to dive deep into Elasticsearch, Fluent Bit, and Kibana. Let’s jump into the lesson and explore these core concepts together.

Thank you!
